Dr. Ali Yassien 

Ø  The founding Partner of Yassien & Partners Law-Firm.

Ø  Former Judge (Vice-president of the Appellate Court).

Ø  Former Lecturer at various School of Law in Egyptian Universities and Centre for Judicial Studies.

Ø  Former VP at Palm Hills Development (VP & Head of Legal & Compliance Department) for 5 years.

Ø  Legal Counsellor for several companies working in different industries. Dr. Yassien has given councel on diverse types of deals including commercial, finance, partnerships, constructions, infrastructures, and development deals. Dr. Yassien has a wide experience in handling different types of cases before different types of courts’ panels, arbitration tribunals and quasi-judicial tribunals (such as: The ministerial commission for investors’ dispute resolution or etc..). His experience is widely recognized –due to his expertise and working career as a prosecutor or judge or in-house counsel- in handling criminal, white-collar, labor, commercial and civil cases.

He is focusing on the application of international commercial and investement laws. He is considered an expert in investment disputes alternative resolution mechanism.

EXPERIENCE

• 1985: Dr. Ali Yassien was appointed as a prosecutor in the Egyptian General Prosecution where he progressed in it till he served as a head chief prosecutor. He was delegated to work in the attorney-general office “Inspectorate”.
• 2001: Dr. Ali Yassien was appointed as the head chief of Cairo court for Urgent Matters till 2002 .
• 2006: Dr. Ali Yassien was appointed as Vice-president of the appellate court till the start of 2007 where he ended his career as a Judge and detected his time for his studies and arbitration.
• 2007: Dr. Ali Yassien started his career as a professional arbitrator where he was nominated as an arbitrator in many important disputes.
• 2011: Dr. Ali Yassien was nominated as the councilor of HSBC Bank, EMRC-EGYPTIAN MORTGAGE REFINANCE COMPANY , EHFC “Egyptian housing finance company” .
• 2013: Dr. Ali Yassien was nominated as the councilor of Memaar Almorshedy
• 2014 : Dr. Ali Yassien was nominated as the legal councilor of PHD “Palm Hills Development” till end of 2019.
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yassin law firm for Legal Consultation and Arbitration from 2010 up to date.

• Dr. Ali Yassien assumed many disputes before the various arbitration bodies (as an arbitrator and a lawyer on both sides of the arbitration dispute) and before the Ministerial Committee for the Settlement of Investment Disputes, and legal adviser to a large group of major companies.
